Wrecce Trip at Esplanade

Planning, planning and more planning! A pain and pleasure simultaneously. We've been doing all our planning on paper and today we went to Esplanade to do a wrecce and set some of our props to do some prelimanary set up to make sure that everything is angle proof.

A beeeeautiful theatre,with fantastic facilities. I've been to the Esplanade theatre many times to watch shows and have admired the theatre facilities as an audience member. But today as I stand on the stage looking at this 2000 seat theatre, a new sense of awe overwhelms me as I realize that this July I will be performing here on this very stage. Wow!

Well, as the guys set up some of the props we brought... I thought it would be best if I explored the theatre grounds. The first place I headed for is the Green Room. No... its not literally a green room. Duh! Its the room where everyone goes to chill and relax when they arenot required on stage.

Man, you gotta check out the green room. It looks like a lounge of a hotel. And it even comes with free internet. Now I've been to some beautiful theatres in the US. And seriously, none can compare with it. My rating of Esplanade's Green Room: 5 stars!

The dressing rooms are really nice as well. But that's expected. Guess after the way I oohed and aahed over the green room, I shall not say too much about the dressing room. Some pics of me in one of the dressing rooms.

Needed on stage now. Better stop 'hiaoing' aroundb and get to work.

That's my dad (the one with the animated hands *lol*) deep in discussion with our production team (from left to right): Felina Khong - Producer, Mac Chan - Lighting Director, Bob Wong - Technical Manager and Yvonne Yuen - Production Manager. My mom is hidden behind my dad. But whats new huh? She's always the one behind the scene!

Tried to get a closer shot of my mom. There she is, discussing with Loretta Chen - our Director, and Felina Khong about the seating plans. Just in case some of you are wondering... Nope Felina is not related to us despite being a Khong and having so many similarities. FYI, both our dad's surname should have been 'Kwong', just like the rest of our relatives. But coincidentally, both of them had their names spelt wrongly at birth, which transformed all of us from Kwongs' to Khongs'. I'm sure she's a distant relative since there aren't many Kwongs and they all lead back to the same ancestor. Oh well,we were fated to meet and work together.

Finally, its my turn to do my thing. Angles, sidelines for magic. Top secret stuff.
